We must pick one word from each set of brackets that can be connected to the word in front of it in the same way.  

Which words from the sets of brackets would best finish this sentence?

Dog is to (lead, kennel, cat) as hamster is to (gerbil, water, cage).

 

First, we need to find a connection between dog and one of the words in brackets.

We now need to find one of these connections between money and a word in the second set of brackets.

 

Money is kept in a bank.

 

We have found the connection! It’s places where the items are kept.
