It is important to know all your times tables by heart up to 12 × 12.

This grid shows that

63 = 7 × 9  and  63 = 9 x 7

It can also be used in reverse to show that

63 ÷ 7 = 9 

and

63 ÷ 9 = 7

We can see that it does not show that 9 ÷ 7 = 63 and 7 ÷ 9 = 63.  We can sometimes get these a little muddled!
