In this activity, you will be sharing out carrots between a number of rabbits.

 

You can choose how to share out numbers. There are lots of ways.

This will not be fair because some rabbits will get more than others.

 

Here are 4 carrots.

 

 

But only 3 rabbits.

 

   A        B        C

 

So there are four carrots and three rabbits. You can share the carrots like this:

 

A gets 1 carrot

B gets 1 carrot

C gets 2 carrots

 

or like this:

 

A gets 1 carrot

B gets 2 carrots

C gets 1 carrot

 

or like this:

 

A gets 2 carrots

B gets 1 carrot

C gets 1 carrot
