Look at this grid, which is also called a Carroll diagram.

A Carroll diagram can help us sort information into groups.

In this diagram, we can sort numbers depending on whether they are odd or even, and whether these odd and even numbers are multiples of 3 or 5.

Carroll diagram for odd and even numbers

The number 6 would go in section A because it is an even multiple of 3

The number 25 would go in section D because it is an odd multiple of 5.

What numbers might we put in sections B and C?

In B, we could have any even number that is also a multiple of 5. eg. 10, 20, 30 100 etc

In C, we could have any odd number that is a multiple of 3. eg. 3, 9, 15, 21 etc

Does that look easy?
