When we write it is easy to be lazy and put down the first word that comes into our head.

We had a nice time at the zoo.

The pizza was nice.

My little sister looked nice in her new dress.

The word nice has been used in all these sentences, but with a bit of thought it can be replaced by much more interesting words.

We had a fascinating time at the zoo.

The pizza was delicious.

My little sister looked pretty in her new dress.

In this activity, we will practise choosing more interesting words to replace boring ones. You may need a dictionary if you don't know what some of the words mean.
