This dandelion plant has different parts. Each of the parts of the plant has a special job to do.

We cannot see the roots because they are in the soil. The roots stop the plant blowing away and they take in water. Plants get thirsty too!

The stem takes the water from the roots to the other parts of the plant.

The flowers are yellow so that insects can see them.

The leaves take in sunlight.

The seeds blow away to grow a new dandelion plant.
