Preview: Add Three Numbers with Two Decimal Places
Need Help?
Introduction
This activity will help us to learn about addition of three numbers with decimals.
Example
Question
Add the numbers together.
First of all, we need to write the numbers out, one above the other, making sure that we line up all the decimal points in a line. Also, put a decimal point in the answer box, lined up with the other ones.
Now we simply add the columns, starting from the right-hand column, as we would in our usual column method of addition. If necessary, we carry digits to the next column as we go along.
