The same place can appear very different at different times.
Look at these pictures.
They are both pictures of woods, but at different times of day and different times of year.
The first picture shows bluebells, so it was probably taken in May or June, and the sun is shining, making it seem a calm and happy place.
The second picture was taken on a winter evening and it looks eerie and mysterious.
Both scenes could be the settings for stories, but they would be very different types of story.
