You've got this! A word that synonym is a word that has a similar meaning. 'Large' has a similar meaning to 'big'. Remember a thesaurus is helpful when looking up words with similar meanings.
  • Question 2

Tick the word that means the same as 'bad-tempered'.

CORRECT ANSWER

Great effort! In this example you needed to find the word that best describes 'bad tempered'. When someone is 'grumpy' they are being 'bad tempered'.
  • Question 3

Tick the word that means the same as 'sad'.

CORRECT ANSWER
Unhappy
EDDIE SAYS
How you doing? If someone is 'sad' we could also say that they aren't happy. Therefore they are 'unhappy'. Keep up the super effort!

CORRECT ANSWER
Furious

Amazing effort! Remember you can use a dictionary to help you look up the meaning of any words you may not know. 'Furious' means when someone is extremely angry.

Tick the word that means the same as 'run fast'.

CORRECT ANSWER
Sprint
EDDIE SAYS
Are you getting the hang of this? If you told someone to 'sprint' they would have to run very fast. Just think of Usain Bolt sprinting the 100m!

The trick is to think about which word you could use instead of 'large'. 'Enormous' means very large.
