You can choose how to share out numbers. There are lots of ways.

This will not be fair, because some rabbits will get more than others.

 

Here are 4 carrots.

 

 

But only 3 rabbits.

So there are four carrots and three rabbits. You can share the carrots like this:

 

A gets 1 carrot

B gets 1 carrot

C gets 2 carrots

 

or like this:

 

A gets 1 carrot

B gets 2 carrots

C gets 1 carrot
