'Which Imperial Measurement?' worksheet

Key stage:  KS 3

Year:  Year 8 Maths worksheets

Curriculum topic:   Number

Curriculum subtopic:   Use Standard Units of Measure

Difficulty level:

Worksheet Overview

In this worksheet, you will identify which unit of measurement is appropriate for each scenario.

The following imperial/metric equivalents will be helpful in this worksheet:

1 m = 3 ft
8 km = 5 miles
1 kg = 2.2 lbs
30 g = 1 ounce
1 litre = 2 pints

Think about it, we wouldn't measure a car using litres, would we? Litres are used for liquids and a car is a solid.

We wouldn't measure the distance walked to school in ft? Ft is too small a unit, we would use km or miles.

Now, let's put our knowledge to the test!
