Electrical circuits are used all the time in the world around us.
Let's look at an electric doorbell.
When someone comes to visit, they press the button on the outside of your house.

When they press the button it acts as the switch in an electrical circuit and completes the electrical pathway, allowing electricity to flow through the wires and reach the buzzer.

The buzzer then starts making a sound, letting you know that someone is at the door. Simple right!
In this activity, we will investigate the circuit used in a doorbell.
