Quotes are so important when answering questions on key texts.  They give you a chance to demonstrate your understanding, as well as showing your appreciation for the writer's language choices!

Quotes also give us evidence for all the points that we make.  If you can find a relevant quote, your argument automatically has more weight!

We recommend for each key text you study, that you compile a list of quotes for all key characters and themes.  You'll need to be able to find these quickly to support your points in an exam.
