Let's try another example.

 

Below, there are 6 pairs of hands. 

There are 10 fingers on each pair of hands.

 

 

 

We want to know how many fingers there are in total.

What are 6 lots of 10?

 

Answer

In total, there are 10 + 10 + 10 + 10 + 10 + 10 = 60 pairs of hands.

 

What is 6 times 10?

6 x 10 = 60

10 x 6 = 60
