In this activity, we will put numbers into increasing/ascending order.
Example
Put the numbers in order, smallest first.
Answer
Firstly, 14,726 is the smallest because it has the smallest digit in the ten thousands place.
Next we have 56,299 because it's the next smallest.
91,222 is the largest because it has the largest digit in the ten thousands place.
Remember that, for example, 52,145 is smaller than 52,267 (look at the hundreds place because that is the first number that is different).
Let's get started and remember to look very carefully at each of the digits.
