A verb is a doing word or an action word.
For example:
Pete rides his bike every weekend.
We can also say Pete is riding his bike today.
The verb 'ride' ends in the letter 'e', so before we add the -ing ending we have to remove the 'e'.
Shall we have a go at some questions on this now?
