Worksheet Overview

In this worksheet children will learn how to put temperatures in order.

Example

Put these temperatures in order (coldest first).

 -5°  -3°  2°  -4°  -1°

Answer

We think of the number line, where -5 lower than -4. So -5 is colder.

          -5          -4          -3          -2          -1          0          1          2          3

-5 °C is the coldest temperature and 2 °C is the hotest temperature

The correct order is:

 -5°  -4°  -3°  -1°  2°
