In this worksheet, students put temperatures in order. Questions include negative temperatures.

Key stage:  KS 2

Curriculum topic:   Maths and Numerical Reasoning

Curriculum subtopic:   Place Value

Difficulty level:

### QUESTION 1 of 10

In this worksheet children will learn how to put temperatures in order.

Example

Put these temperatures in order (coldest first).

-5°  -3°  2°  -4°  -1°

We think of the number line, where -5 lower than -4. So -5 is colder.

-5          -4          -3          -2          -1          0          1          2          3

-5 °C is the coldest temperature and 2 °C is the hotest temperature

The correct order is:

-5°  -4°  -3°  -1°  2°

Put these temperatures in order (smallest/coldest first)

5°  2°  -7°  -1°  -4°
