Our 11+ resources are designed to teach skills and then discreetly test your child with exam-style questions and practice papers too. Giving you visibility to their progress. To help you support your child best, our resources are aligned to exam boards with progressive leveling, starting at year 3 and working to exam-style questions and practice papers in year 5. This allows you to set your child at a level that suits them and develop the skills needed overtime; removing exam pressure and building their confidence.
The English skills your child will require aren’t too dissimilar from what they’ve been learning at school but they’ll need to work at a much higher level and at much greater speed. Your child will usually be expected to be able to achieve a grade of “Working at Greater Depth” in their Year 6 SATs in both Reading, Writing and Grammar, Punctuation and Spelling or an equivalent measure in independent education. At EdPlace we’ll expose your child to higher level English skills whilst familiarising them with the relevant types of timing and phrasing they’ll see in the 11+ exam.
