Worksheet Overview

Many words in English are based on the same root words, and knowing what these mean can help us with spellings.

The prefixes 'photo-' and 'micro-' come from Greek words meaning 'light' and 'small'.

A photograph is a picture recorded by a camera on light-sensitive material.

A microlight is a small aeroplane that usually has no more than two seats.
