Worksheet Overview

The following activity is a practice exercise to help you measure your success under timed conditions.

If you are unsure of an answer move on to the next question.

You should come back to questions you found difficult at the end if you have time.

We need to remove a letter from the first word and insert that same letter into the second word.

We have to make sure we are left with two real words after this.

munch            pat

First, we need to find a letter to remove from munch that leaves us with a real word.

guinea pig munching lettuce

If we remove the n from munch, we are left with the word much.

Now, we need to fit the letter n into the word pat to make another real word.

If we insert the letter n after the second letter in pat, we get the word pant.

The answer is the letter n, as this is the letter that we moved.

Now it’s time to begin this practice exercise.

Good luck!
