Worksheet Overview

In this activity, we will measure and record lengths.

We need to read the ruler to work out how long an object is.

Here, we have a worm.

The worm has been placed at 0.

To work out the length of the worm we need to read the ruler where the worm ends.

At the end of the worm we have drawn a line. We can follow this line down to the ruler.

The ruler reads 13.

A ruler measures in a unit called centimetres but we can just write cm.

This worm measures 13 cm.

Shall we have a go at some questions?
