In this activity, we are going to look at representing more than one event in a two way table, which we can then use to identify probability.

This two way table shows how a group of students get to school.

Example

One student is picked at random.

What is the probability that they cycled to school?

We could write this as 30/105

Did you spot that both numbers are divisible by 15?

It can be reduced to 2/7
