Science vocabulary is important because it allows us, as scientists, to talk about our learning and describe our knowledge and ideas with other scientists.

Scientists

Some science words have meanings in other subjects, for example, factors, which is also a Maths word.

When we talk about electricity, a CELL is a source of electrical energy, which can also be called a battery. However, being very strict, a battery is made up of a number of cells.

Cell or battery

There are names for the units of measure. The power provided by a battery is measured in Volts. The more Volts, the more energy!
