When learning about electricity and exploring with electrical circuits, we can find that sometimes they do not work and we have to test them.
Testing them is like being a detective - we need to investigate how electrical things work and what is wrong.

We need to do this in a logical and organised way so that we don't lose track of what we've checked or done.
First, we make sure that the wires and components are all connected properly.

Then, if the circuit is still not working, we need to look at the different components and see if there is a problem with one of them.
Testing is about exploring and experimenting with the circuits until we resolve the issue.

It's helpful to record this with notes or diagrams to help us to remember. We can then share our findings with the scientific world so that others can learn from our work, be inspired by it or compare it with their own experiments.
In this activity, we will get the chance to think about different ways of testing circuits.
