Comparing the mean increases across the different subjects from KS1 - KS3 we saw a large difference. The greatest average improvement of students in Y1 - Y9 was seen in maths with an increase of 17% between the two assessments. In comparison, the smallest average increase was seen in English at 2%.

Our study showed that the most effective approach when using targeted support via the EdPlace platform is that little and often is key. Students who completed 2 hours 50 minutes on EdPlace per week saw an average rate of improvement of 0.6% per week across a subject.

Supporting students in Ukraine
Our ongoing work with Svitlo School has supported students from Ukraine who were displaced in the UK as a result of the war. Initially we offered all Svitlo students a free account allowing them to complete interactive activities on the platform at a time that best suited them. Our inbuilt language translator has enabled students to cover the English National Curriculum in Ukranian if they prefer.
