Worksheet Overview

QUESTION 1 of 10

In this worksheet you will learn how to arrange numbers in order, largest first.

This is known as descending or decreasing order.

Example

Put the numbers in order, largest first.

4.2

2

4.8

1.1

5.6

Answer

5.6 is the largest as 5 is the largest units digit.

Then we compare 4.2 and 4.8, which both have the next largest units digit.  We compare the tenths digits to see that 4.8 is larger than 4.2

The next largest number is 2 or 2.0

The smallest number is 1.1
