Worksheet Overview

Are you ready to become a wonderful writer?

In this activity, we will look at three things  that you need to do to be a wonderful writer!

1) Always start your sentences with a capital letter.

2) Remember a full stop (or correct punctuation) at the end of your sentences.

3) Join your ideas using and!

We will practise using and to join our ideas together to make our writing more interesting.

The word 'and' is a conjunction, which means that we use it to join phrases and ideas together.

Look at this picture.

black puppy and cream puppy

We could write two short sentences about it:

I can see a black puppy.

I can see a cream puppy.

or

We could join our ideas together:

I can see a black puppy and a cream puppy.

Joining our ideas together makes our writing clearer for us and others to read.
