Worksheet Overview

When we are reading, we are often given clues to help us to make inferences. When we make an inference, we are using what we already know from the pictures and the text to work out more information.

In these questions, we are going to be making inferences about what season it might be, based on clues from the pictures and text we are given.

For example, look at this picture:

Sunflower field

Is the season more likely to be summer or winter?

Using the clues that we can see, we can infer that it is summer. There is a blue sky with sunshine, and sunflowers growing, which usually grow in the summer months!

Let's use our detective skills to look for clues to help us answer the questions in this activity.
