Or we can split a triangle into two equal parts like the one below.
Equal means being exactly the same size.
When we split it into two equal parts, each part is called a half of the whole triangle.
When the parts are not equal, they are not halves.
We can split lots of shapes into halves, but this activity is going to concentrate on only triangles.
