Hello word detective, you’ve arrived at just the right time.  

Can you help us solve the following puzzle?

 

We need to remove a letter from the word below so that we are left with a real word:

stoop

 

We cannot jumble the order of the letters.

The letter can be removed from anywhere in the word.

 

Let’s try and remove the first letter:

stoop -> toop - this is not a real word

 

How about the second letter?

stoop -> soop - also, not a real word

 

Let’s try the third letter:

stoop -> stop - We have found the real word!

The correct letter to remove is o, as this leaves us with the real word stop.
