Worksheet Overview

QUESTION 1 of 10

These letters are called vowels.

Listen to the sounds these vowels make:

a e i o u

If you put two vowels together to make a sound, it is called a digraph.

Listen to these digraphs.

ai
ee
oo
oa
oi
ou or
ea  or
ue
au
oe

When you put another letter in the middle of the digraph, it splits the letters up in a word.

The digraph still makes the same sound, but it is called a split digraph.

ee becomes e_e in even
ie becomes i_e in white
ue becomes u_e in June
oe becomes o_e in alone
ae becomes a_e in came

Now use these sounds and spellings in the worksheet.
