Recognise Time Conjunctions

In this activity, we’re going to be looking at conjunctions.

Conjunctions are joining words which link ideas together.

Look at the two simple sentences below.

Diya felt better.

She had her medicine.

We can link these two sentences together using the conjunction when to make one sentence.

Diya felt better when she had her medicine.

'When' is a time conjunction.

Which time conjunction could complete the sentence below?

Stuart likes to play outside ___ he finishes school.

Here, we could use after or when.

Stuart likes to play outside when he finishes school.
