Estimating means giving your best guess. Use the clues to help you make a really good guess before you actually count the number of objects.
Example:
Use the clues given. Look at the number of objects from left to right they are going down by one each time. If there are 5 stars, 4 clubs and 2 ladies then there is likely to be 3 umbrellas.
First estimate and then count the number of umbrellas. Then you must write the correct number.
