Express Simple Ratios in Words

In this activity, we will learn about ratio.

This necklace has 3 blue beads to every 2 white beads.

This is known as a ratio and we would write this as 3:2.  

A ratio is a way of explaining how two different things relate to one another and can be used to describe lots of different things, from cooking, to the number of students to teachers in a classroom!
