# Calculate Angles at a Point

In this worksheet, students will calculate angles at a point.

Key stage:  KS 3

Curriculum topic:   Geometry and Measures

Curriculum subtopic:   Apply the Properties of Angles

Difficulty level:

#### Worksheet Overview

In this activity, we are going to look at angles at a point.

You will be using written methods for adding and subtracting.

As you know, when we complete 1 full turn we move through 360

You can see this if you look at a protractor.

If we were to draw lots of angles around a point they would all have one thing in common!

The angles may be different sizes but they both add up to 360o

Key Point (Make a note of this)

Angles at a point add to 360°

How would we use this information?

Well, it means if we are given the sizes of some angles, we can use this fact to find missing angles.

Let's look at an example

Find the missing angle V

The angles at a point add up to 360°

V = 360 - 250

V = 11

Let's try some of these!
