Animals are living organisms and are grouped into five categories based on their characteristics.
These groups are:
Birds which are warm-blooded, have feathers and wings and lay eggs.
Mammals which are warm-blooded, have fur or hair, give birth to live young and produce milk.
Fish which live in water, have gills and lay eggs.
Reptiles which are cold-blooded, lay eggs on land and have scaly skin.
Amphibians which lay eggs in water; their young have gills and live in the water and the adults have lungs and breathe air.
In this activity, we will be looking at birds.
