Worksheet Overview

We can describe materials in many different ways.

We can describe their properties using words such as strong, stiff, soft, rough, smooth, flexible, see-through and waterproof.

We choose different objects for different purposes based on their properties.

This table is made from wood because wood is strong and stiff.

It would be no good making a table out of fabric as this would be too soft and flexible.

In this activity, you can practise describing materials and their properties.
