Everyday objects around us are made of different things. We call these different materials.

 

Materials can be grouped into different categories  - fabric, wood, ceramic, plastic, rubber, paper, brick, rock, glass, metal and leather are some examples.

 

Sometimes, the same objects can be made from different materials.
