Worksheet Overview

All around us in our homes and schools are everyday objects. They are made of different things which we call different materials.

Here are some categories that materials can be grouped in:  fabric   wood   ceramic   plastic   rubber  paper   brick    rock   glass    metal    leather

Sometimes, the same objects can be made from different materials.

plastic chair  wooden chair deck chair

These chairs are all made from different materials - plastic, wood and fabric

Plastic, wood and fabric all have suitable properties that make them a good choice for a chair. They are strong and long lasting.

Let's practise choosing different materials for the same objects.
