#### Worksheet Overview

In this activity, you will need to use your brain to visualise some images in your head.

Imagine that the square below is a piece of paper:

Now, imagine that piece of paper being folded in half along the dotted line:

Then visualise someone hole-punching two holes in the folded piece of paper as below:

Now we need to imagine what the piece of paper would look like once it has been unfolded again.

We have 3 possible options to choose from:

a)         b)         c)

The correct answer is option b, as both holes will be in the same position on the top half of the paper.

Let’s try another: get ready to visualise!

The paper has been folded in a different direction and the white circles show where it has been hole-punched.

Once the paper has been unfolded, which image below shows what it would look like?

a)         b)         c)

The correct answer is c, because two holes were punched in the centre of the paper and went through two pages which were directly on top of each other:

It’s now your turn to visualise folding paper.

Pssstt! Here's a handy hint to help you reach superstar status: If you find this tricky, you could use a real piece of paper to help you.

Good luck paper-folder!
