There are some words that many of us find difficult to spell. They are really important for our writing though, so we need to practise them.
In this activity, we are going to look at the following five words and practise spelling them:
forty
rhyme
rhythm
soldier
suggest

We need to pay special attention to rhyme and rhythm. We often get these two spellings mixed up. They are both musical terms.
Rhyme is when words have a similar ending ( like cat and mat), or a poem or tune made of rhyming words (like a nursery rhyme).
Rhythm is the beat of a song.
Spend a few minutes looking at these words before beginning the questions.
