Recognise and Use Connectives

Whenever you are writing, you use lots of words and phrases that help guide the reader through your work. Like signposts!

These can be as simple as a determiner like my, its, first, or more advanced such as connectives. 

A connective does pretty much what it sounds like - connects things! They are words and phrases that connect the different parts of a sentence. 

In this activity, we will look at connectives that deal with cause and effect.
