Understand the Effects of Grammatical Features in Different Types of Sentences

Writers make hundreds of deliberate and purposeful choices when they write. 

Identifying, understanding and explaining these are all a part of analysis.

Analysing a text is a key skill in English. 

You can analyse anything a writer has done: their vocabulary use, punctuation, sentence type and grammatical choices.
