When you are given a task to do in English, it is vital that you understand completely what is being asked of you. That way, you can show off your knowledge and skills and be successful.

In this activity, you will look at purpose and audience and how you can identify what and who you are writing for, and how to ensure that you select the right language and structure for the task you have been given.

You are going to see a number of tasks for non-fiction writing, so remind yourself of anything you already know and get ready to answer some questions!
