This is a practice GCSE English Literature Paper 2 in the style of OCR.

 

In the GCSE, you may complete your answers in a written answer booklet or on a computer. At EdPlace, you will type your answers manually into onscreen boxes and use marking criteria to grade your answers afterwards.

 

The time is set for 2 hours (120 minutes) but you can keep working once the timer has run out. You are advised to spend roughly 1 hour and 15 minutes on Section A and 45 minutes on Section B..

 

Important: This question paper contains all text choices. Although there are many questions in the paper, you will only need to answer twoone from Section A (both parts A and B), and one from Section B. Use the contents list (located on the first page) to work out which questions you need. You can return to check it at any time. Once you have finished your answers and checked them through, go back to the contents page and check the box to complete the assessment. 

 

This paper and the guidance below is in the style of OCR, however, it is not written by OCR.

Instructions:

You must type your answer in the boxes provided.

Answer one question from Section A (both parts A and B), and one question from Section B.

You must not use a dictionary.

 

Information:

The maximum marks for questions are shown in brackets.

The maximum mark for this paper is 80.

There are 40 marks for Section A and 40 marks for Section B.

AO4 will be assessed in Section B. There are four marks available for AO4 in Section B in addition to 36 marks for answering the question.

AO4 assesses the following skills: use of a range of vocabulary and sentence structures for clarity, purpose and effect, with accurate spelling and confident use of punctuation.
