Measure Time Intervals in Hours and Minutes

In this activity, we will be working out how long it is between two times.

Example

Susie is doing her laundry.

The start and finish times are given on the clocks.

How long did it take?

start	finish

Answer

Clock one shows 11 o'clock or 11:00

Clock two shows 12 o'clock or 12:00

Starting at 11:00, if we go forward 1 hour, we get to 12:00

12:00 - 11:00 = 1 hour
