Worksheet Overview

In this activity, we will decide which numbers lie between two given numbers.

Example

Write a number between 6,845 and 8,877.

Answer

Any number from 6,846 to 7,000 will work.

Any number from 7,001 to 8,000 will work

Any number from 8,001 to 8,876 will still work!

On a number line, it looks like this

          6,846        7,000                             8,000                          8,876

Remember, you can't select 6,845 or 8,877 as it asked for numbers between the 2 numbers, not including them.

Have you got that?
