In this worksheet decide which numbers lie between two given numbers.

 

Example

Write a number between 6845 and 8877.

 

Answer

Any number from 6846 to 7000 will work.

Any number from 7001 to 8000 will work

Any number from 8001 to 8876 will work.

 

On a number line, it looks like this

 

          6846        7000                             8000                          8876              

 

Remember, you can't select 6845 or 8877 as it asked for numbers between the 2 numbers, not including them
