Boy thinking

Sentences always begin with a capital letter, but often we need to use capital letters in the middle of sentences as well.

Capital Letters

You will have learnt which words always need a capital letter. They include:

  • people's names
  • people's titles (Mr, Mrs, Doctor and so on)
  • place names (including streets, towns and countries)
  • the names of the days of the week and the months of the year
  • titles of books, films and television programmes

In this worksheet, you can practise adding capital letters to sentences.
