This is a practice GCSE English Language Paper 2 in the style of Eduqas.

 

In the GCSE examination, you may complete your answers in a written answer booklet or on a computer. You will be given a question paper and a separate reading insert. 

 

At EdPlace, you will be given both reading insert and the questions together. You will type your answers manually into onscreen boxes and use marking criteria to grade your answers afterwards.

 

The time is set for 2 hours (120 minutes) but you can keep working once the timer has run out. You are advised to manage your time effectively to ensure you allow enough time for both sections.

 

This paper includes all questions types in the style of Eduqas. The guidance below is also in the style of Eduqas.

Instructions to Candidates

Answer all questions in Section A and B.

You must answer the questions in the spaces provided.

You are advised to spend your time as follows: Section A - 10 minutes reading / 50 minutes answering questions, and Section B - 30 minutes per question (5 minutes planning and 25 minutes writing).

You must not use a dictionary.
