Identify Word Class

Understanding the type of word in a sentence is a great skill to have in English. 

This is called 'word class' and it tells you what group a word belongs to. 

If you know the word class, you can see what 'job' a word is doing in the sentence. 

This helps you to understand what someone has written, but also helps you to add more to your own work. 

We are going to look at a selection of words from these classes, so have a look at them and get ready to answer some questions!
